I never realized 6 am existed

at the nip of
slate dawn sky
sunrise raises
your hand inside my thighs.
soggy eyes lessen
and steal from dreams
as you loosen my seams.

birds barely begin to sing
before your bare hands burrow
nests between my breasts
and windows wind down dew drops
that slip snaking
as you through me

the somber sky swells
as sun yawns
into the horizon
of our love's revival
and now we smile in our sleep
